During the first week of the holidays, 18 Year 9 students were specially invited to attend a fully funded camp as part of the University of Melbourne’s STEM EDGE program. The initiative was designed to inspire girls and gender-diverse students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The camp began at the University’s Parkville campus before moving on to Dookie campus for a two-night stay, with all transport provided by the University. Throughout the program, students worked alongside academics from various schools within the Faculty of Science, participated in a collaborative team project and built lasting connections within the cohort.
We thank the University of Melbourne for offering this fantastic opportunity to our students!
