About Ridge Valley School
Further Developing our Students' Global Citizenship

Our College
Sister School

Pakenham Secondary College has participated in the Victorian Young Leaders Global Youth Forum for the past two years, which has given our students the opportunity to develop their leadership, global citizenship, language skills, intercultural understanding and awareness.
Through this program, our students have connected with peers from a range of schools and countries across the Asia-Pacific region including: China, Thailand, Japan, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore and the Philippines.
Developing a Sister School Relationship with Ridge Valley School will deepen our students' global learning, widening their understanding of different perspectives, cultures, lifestyles, traditions and international issues.
This collaboration will enable students and teachers from both of our schools to engage in various activities and initiatives to provide a cultural enrichment for all participants.
Recent Collaboration
We recently collaborated with our Sister School in some online learning relating to Sustainability and Environmental Issues. From the effects of climate change to the crisis of biodiversity loss, our students worked closely with the students of Ridge Valley School to explore the interconnectedness of environmental challenges that affect the entire world. Through these discussions and projects, culminating in joint presentations, both Ridge Valley and Pakenham Secondary students have gained a broader perspective on how every action – big or small – has an impact on the planet.

We look forward to expanding our work with Ridge Valley School in 2025 and welcome the cultural enrichment this program provides for all participants.
