School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Program
At Pakenham Secondary College, our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) program fosters a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment that brings together the school community. SWPBS helps to cultivate respectful and productive relationships between students and staff, contributing to a culture of inclusion and personal growth. We have been successfully implementing SWPBS at Pakenham Secondary College for some time, helping to improve social, emotional, behavioural, and academic outcomes for our students.
Our SWPBS program is built on our core values of Social and Personal Responsibility, Opportunities for All, Achieving Personal Best, and Respectful Relationships. We actively recognize and celebrate students who demonstrate these values, ensuring they feel supported and valued. School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Theme
The School Wide Positive Behaviour Theme for Term 3, 2025 is: OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
This term, we are focusing on the theme of Opportunities for All, encouraging every student to make the most of the diverse learning and co-curricular experiences available at the College. Students are expected to remain focused in class, minimise distractions and fully engage with each learning activity. By working collaboratively, supporting peers, and showing encouragement, students help create a positive environment where everyone can thrive. We also encourage participation beyond the classroom - in Sport, the Performing Arts, Clubs and other programs, so that all students can discover their interests, develop new skills and contribute to our vibrant school community.
