Updated: Jul 11

Since launching in Term 2, our Year 7 Netball Development Program has been going from strength to strength. Held every Thursday morning from 7:30am to 8:30am, the program has seen enthusiastic participation from students, with growing skill development and teamwork each week.

The sessions are led by highly respected coach David Sollberger, whose background and passion for the sport continue to inspire our young athletes.

David began his netball journey after playing high-level basketball as a teenager, and since making the switch to netball, he has never looked back. With a deep passion for the game, David played for Victoria, captaining the U19 Victorian Men’s team to a National Championship. He also competed in three national tournaments for men’s netball.

With over 20 years of experience playing mixed netball, David has been coaching at Pakenham Lions Netball Club for the past four years. He holds an Intermediate Netball Australia coaching qualification and currently coaches U15 and Open D Grade teams. David is deeply committed to helping players, whether they are beginners or aiming for top-level performance, get the most out of the sport. He believes that sport plays a significant role in personal growth, both on and off the court.

The Year 7 Netball Development Program is open to both boys and girls and is completely FREE.
