Tôn vinh văn hóa bản địa tại PSC

Trường Trung học Pakenham trân trọng văn hóa, lịch sử và thành tựu của người dân bản địa và người dân đảo Torres Strait, kỷ niệm các sự kiện quan trọng như Tuần lễ Hòa giải, Tuần lễ NAIDOC và Ngày Văn hóa Bản địa của riêng chúng tôi. Chúng tôi cũng rất vui mừng khi có Nghệ sĩ Bản địa lưu trú, Samantha Richards, người hướng dẫn học sinh của chúng tôi.

Samantha đã làm việc tại Trường Trung học Pakenham từ đầu năm 2024. Là hậu duệ của bộ tộc Wurundjeri và Dja Dja Wurrung ở vùng Melbourne và Bendigo, cô đã giáo dục học sinh của chúng tôi về các biểu tượng truyền thống của Wurundjeri, kể những câu chuyện về Sáng tạo và Thời gian trong mơ, và chia sẻ kiến thức sâu sắc về văn hóa bản địa, bao gồm cả chuyên môn của cô về hệ thực vật bản địa. Samantha cũng đã dạy dệt vải, thực hành làm đồ gỗ và sáng tạo nghệ thuật kỹ thuật số của người bản địa bằng Procreate.

Vào năm 2025, Samantha sẽ mở rộng chương trình của mình để chia sẻ thêm kiến thức sâu rộng của cô về văn hóa bản địa. Cô đang hướng dẫn học sinh về tính bền vững trong thực phẩm, tiếp tục chương trình nghệ thuật bản địa và dẫn dắt học sinh của chúng tôi trong lễ kỷ niệm Ngày văn hóa bản địa của trường trung học Pakenham.

Sam cũng đã vẽ một bức tranh tường tuyệt đẹp trong phòng tập thể dục của chúng tôi vào tháng 4 năm 2025, sử dụng các biểu tượng truyền thống để kể câu chuyện về các vận động viên bản địa truyền cảm hứng cho bốn Nhà của chúng tôi: Ash Barty (Đỏ), Cathy Freeman (Vàng), Eddie Betts (Xanh lam) và Patty Mills (Xanh lục).

Our School Zone

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.​

​

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school if there are available places.
