This year we are thrilled to announce our College Production as 'The Wizard of Oz'.

We are also excited to be partnering with Pakenham Consolidate, Pakenham Hills and Pakenham Springs Primary Schools on the production. Some of their talented students will be sharing the stage with us to welcome Dorothy to Munchkinland!

Tickets are now available here - We can't wait to take you all somewhere over the rainbow".

Drama at PSC

Our drama program is lead by Genelle Lentini, an experienced Performing Arts Leader, who has built exciting and inclusive Theatre and Music program for students across Victoria. Genelle is passionate about making the Performing Arts accessible to all students and loves creating fun, high-quality productions, showcases and events that engage the community.

Some of Genelle's achievements are:

  • Building a Performing Arts Curriculum that helps students achieve high results in VCE (many of Genelle's students have been recognised in the VCAA Season of Excellence)

  • Nomination of Teacher Excellence Award for Drama Victoria

  • Founded her own Theatre Non-Profit organisation

  • Practicing Producer, Director and Performer in the Melbourne Theatre and Cabaret scene.

PSC excels at
Victorian State Schools Spectacular

We are very proud and excited that two of our students have been chosen from students around the State, as part of the Principal Cast and Backstage Crew of the Victorian State Schools Spectacular this year.

As one of only 23 dancers chosen from the State in 2023, James Nimaya from Year 11 has once again been officially announced as a Principal Dancer for the Victorian State Schools Spectacular in 2024!

Jackson Newman-Watkins from Year 7 has been chosen as part of the Vision team for this Year's Victorian State Schools Spectacular.

We have an outstanding and experienced VSSS Coordinator at Pakenham Secondary College, Ms Jamie Gourlay. Ms Gourlay led a successful dance troupe in 2023 and we have another fabulous dancing ensemble performing at the Spectacular this year.

The Victorian State Schools Spectacular will be held in September at the John Cain Arena.

Music at PSC

All of our students study classroom Music in Years 7 and 8 as well as being available as electives and VCE subjects in Years 9 - 12.

Students can also choose to learn an instrument in small group lessons as part of our Instrumental Music Program. There are no fees for these lessons, as they are subsidised by the school.

Lessons are available in piano, vocals, guitar, bass guitar and drums.
